³ He was trying to see who Jesus was, but since he was short, he could not see because of the crowd. ⁴ He ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus, because he was about to pass by that way. ⁵ When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”
